Mireille Giovanni Sinclair, known as “Gio” to those close to her, was born in Tokyo, Japan. At an early age, she was exposed to it’s beauty, culture, and remarkable landscapes.Mireille was taught by her parents about the importance of keeping a balance between hard work and creative expression. Her father, a successful French businessman based in Tokyo, introduced to her the value of discipline, professionalism, and responsibility, while her mother, a notorious photographer, taught her how art communicates, inspiring her to see the beauty even in the smallest details.As a child, Mireille was often found with a digital camera in hand, always following her mother whenever she had photoshoots. Their bonding would often include visiting art museums, gallery exhibits, and tourist landmarks from around the world. Her love for photography only started to grow from then on. Through her lens, she’s able to capture intimate moments, nature’s details, and more.By the time she reached sixteen, she started to take photography more seriously. She learned different compositions, styles, techniques, and how to show emotion through just a simple still image. She was already building her portfolio by coming to photoshoots as her mother’s assistant, taking on projects from the school that involved photography, and letting her parents introduce her to big-time professionals.With a newfound interest in graphic design; that she also picked up from her mother, she was able to merge it with her love and passion for photography, earning the ability to improve her artistic visions and set the foundation for her future career.At the age of 18, the Sinclair family decided to leave Tokyo as the parents were given the opportunity to work on one of the company’s branches in Makati, Manila. Luckily, that was also the time that Mireille was seeking for a fresh start, new landscapes, and overall new things to turn into her art. Falling in love with the city’s energy and beauty, Mireille found it a bit challenging, but fund to adjust to the new environment.Now settled in the exclusive neighborhood of Forbes park and being surrounded by the city life, Maurice prefers to keep a quiet and peaceful life, preferring solitude over the busy nightlife the city was known for. Though her work as a professional photographer required her to interact and be out there with people, she always reminds herself that a little “self time” won’t hurt anyone.Through her work, she is able to capture that emotions in the moment, the beauty of family, love, and relationships. She creates images that forever encapsulates the moment, no matter how many times they are viewed.
